A list of must read web comics

Is a fantasy webcomic by Kadi Fedoruk, involving magic, spirits and a forest otherworld. We start with a young girl named Tamaura, happy — but alone — in a forest. She doesn’t mind being alone: she has her duties caring for the forest and performing services for the spirits who inhabit the forest, and to whom she is contracted. She meets a young boy, Harris, and they have fun playing together. In time, however, he reveals that he must leave — he is going away to study magic. Years later he returns and frees her from the spirits… against her will and at terrible cost to herself. Thus, Tamaura is drawn into his city and the conflict between two factions: the Orphics, the blood magic wielding former rulers of the city who are now an oppressed minority; and the Academics, “scientific” wizards who have instituted a dystopian police state in their zeal to wipe them out.

The story has just begun , but you can already tell , it’s going to be an epic ride .

“Any sufficiently remarkable occurrence is indistinguishable from magic.”

Borrowing from science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke’s Three Laws, Nobel Prize-Winning mathematician Rama Mirabilay explains that even the most mundane of coincidences can seem miraculous.

Sufficiently Remarkable follows the lives of four young adults (and a host of supporting characters) who discover the hard way that you’re always coming of age. Living in Brooklyn, NY during uncertain times, they’ll try to carve out a place for themselves in life, not realizing their actions all ripple against one another.

It’s been 90 years after the end of the old world. Most of the surviving population of the Known world live in Iceland, the largest safe area in existence, while the safe settlements in the other Nordic countries; Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, are small and scarce.

Countless mysterious and unspoken dangers lurk outside the safe areas, the Silent world, and hunters, mages and cleansers will spend their lives defending the settlements against the terrifying beings. Because of a great fear towards everything in the Silent world no official attempts to explore the ruins of the old have been made, and most of the information about it has turned into ancient lore, known by few.

But now, at last, it is time to send out an research crew into the great unknown! A poorly funded and terribly unqualified crew, but a crew nonetheless.
